Good news Ashley, hope it all goes well for you, although I will be amazed if you ever get any photos from them. You never know though........

Predeterminado prestige villas - euro anglo - for Ashley

we bought our property at La Cinuelica through this agent.

    This is my advice:
    don't believe anything they say
check as much as you can for yourself
pester them to death (don't rely on them)
get everything they say in writing
don't rely on them after the sale
don't use their recommended furniture store in Torrevieja (just as bad)

don't mean to be negative but forewarned is forearmed.

    Hi Lizzy,

Good to hear from you. With the many people who do buy from these big companies I was hoping to find another client who had been there already. I find I am now very cynical and all trust has long gone.
If you have time would like more detail of what the actual completion is like and do they help with seeing the notary etc. or is that what the solicitor does. Understood when we bought that they would be as nice and hand holding all the way through but the nice lady that we met does not answer calls and if it was not for Andy would have been climbing te wall by now.
Was told that the full furniture pack was about £2000 and was really good. Been looking on the web sites of furniture shops in Spain and it is dearer than here in UK. Some packs are from £7000 to £11000.
I would prefer to choose my own anyway and am quite happy to look for good used furniture time permitting.
    Jaybe.

    Hi,

We bough through Euro Anglo sur in 2003 and completed within one week of the estimated date. No problems with them at all.

Regarding furniture, we went out about 8 weeks before completion and ordered most of it then for delivery when we signed on the dottted line.

If you can find Avda Cortes Valencianas in Torrevieja (runs towards the town from the Totum Pole island. Loads of housey shops, electricals, beds, furniture etc. We used El Gran Almacen who custom made our sofa and chair and apologised because it would take 10 days!! Aren't we always told 10 weeks back here in the uk. Any white goods are always fully installed when they deliver, they even put up your lights and fans. Don't get that service back here do we?

Markets are great for bedding, pots and pans, kitchenware, pictures, towels, nik naks etc and it's grat fun browseing. There's one in a different village every day of the week. Then Carrefour has almost everything else you'll need.

We spent about £5K sterling furnishing a 2 bed apartment with decent quality furniture and beds, to give you a comparison to the furniture packs. We also bought flat pack stuff from Ikea and shipped over. Fortunately I have a handy, practical husband. We used Sooners who advretise on the back pages of COsta Blanca News. Excellent service from them.

    Hope this helps.
    Good luck.

Predeterminado for ashley - agent and furniture

ashley, this agent's packages are with a furniture shop called Maru Mar in Torrevieja, white goods came for Munoz Espinoza, curtains an bedspreads from shop in TV but can't remember the name.
    Here's what happened:
took 8 attempts by MM to get all our furniture and household goods to us which spanned 3 visits by us to Spain - still not got it all but have given up now.
white goods - fitting complete but then "we don't have any cookers - you have to get this on your next visit". This was despite ordering in advance for set date
curtains - despite sending someone to measure up they were too short. plus cushions I'd bought separately - scotch mist!!!
This package was about e4500. I think this was probably good value despite all the hassle and bearing in mind it was all delivered, carried upstairs and put together - I thought it was worth it.
However, my advice to anyone would be to have a good look round first. There are lots of shops offering packages independantly. Also if you are not averse to 2nd hand, there are some good shops eg New2You at Mar Azul which will deliver. They will also take stuff in part-ex. Worth a visit for supplementary stuff eg mirrors, extra coffee table etc.

    good hunting
