Does anyone recognise this dog?

I found this dog wandering around on the wasteground near Aldi, Dreamhills2 this morning while I was walking my two dogs. He played with my dogs and then followed us home. He has a number on his collar which we have phoned numerous times and eventually got to speak to someone (Spanish) who say´s that he isn´t theirs but was a present for a friend, they took our number but we are still waiting for them to get back to us. If it was one of our dogs that was missing I would have rung back by now.
We have taken him to the vets but they couldn´t find a microchip. We also took him to the Local police but the office is closed at the moment.
Does anyone recognise him? He is a lovely dog and around 18 months old, if I didn´t already have two I would keep him myself. I am dreading leaving him with the local police as they will just take him to the pound and that is likely to be a one way trip.

Hi

all is well. We eventually had a call from the owners and they turned out to be a Russian family that we actually knew as they used to be our neighbours. They came and collected "Luka" and took him home. Hopefully they will now get him chipped.
