    Predeterminado UK tv broadcaster

Hi all, new here although I look at the webcam most days and lurk the forum sometimes! In common with many of you I expect, we spent five days in 2002 in the back of a mini bus driving up and down the 332. We bought a property on Playa Golf and have been very pleased with it. We had the TV installed, the 15 euro per month deal that seemed too good to be true and obviously was! What with the current financial climate our house isn't getting the use it was for the first few years so, when the TV company went, we stuck with the broadcast (which we don't know where it came from) which gave us basic BBC etc (and a big surprise after midnight!) for a year or two. That has gone too now and we can't justify the expense of Torresat or other supplier at the moment. I seem to remember hearing/reading of a supplier which you would pay to only turn on your signal while the property was in use but I may have imagined it. Does anyone know of such a deal? We have the mesh aerial and Coship box already installed. Cheers!

Hi Red, had the same problem myself about 2 years ago.I made lots of enquires then and yes there is a company who do a pay as you view system but i thought it was too expensive because when you wanted the tv on they would only connect it for afull month (no good if youare going for just a week. Also they charged a reconnection fee every time. I cant remember the name of the company or the exact costs (sorry). Anyway after i considered all options and what equipment i allready had (same equip as you) how much the property was getting used etc i opted for simulsat tv for 19 euros per month and have not had any probs as yet (touch wood) and we get more than enough channels. Hope this helps. Geoff. p.s. I know sombody who bought tv with built in freeview and receives a lot of channels in spanish through an ariel and he says at the push of a button it converts to english speaking but i think this only applies to movies that were originally made in english speaking format.
