Default Cheque charges

Does anyone know what the charges are for lodging a cheque in your own account in Spain.
Thanks

Default Bank Charges

I dont know about itemised bank charges, but I think a good offer is Halifax Espana. If you have a Halifax or RBOS account in UK you get free transfers to the Spanish Account. If you keep a minimum of 600 euros in your Spanish Account you get free banking!

Depends on your bank, type of account and the deal you have. I pay nothing in Caja Murcia to pay in a sterling cheque in my own branch.

If you want to pay in say once a month to transfer your sterling paid pension you should be able to negotiate a deal.

Here - if you dont ask you dont get!

If you have a spanish cheque you can cash into your own account. The trick is to say that it is NOMINA (salary) and then they wont charge you anything, regadless of what bank the cheque comes from. Just a good thing to know Obviously the money wont be available until after a day or 2 though
