Default Good Deals and Bad Deals

Just had a thorough eye test and examination in Specsavers - as per their advert in the local papers and it is a good deal. Quality frames from 75€ with a 2nd pair free (or other offers available on lens etc)

The potential bad deal is in Carrefour - where they are selling USB Wi-Fi adaptors for twice the price of my local shop in town and their printer cartridges are dearer too - not everything is cheaper in there!

I'm amazed you got out of Specsavers only spending 75e - in the UK in our experience they virtually lock you in the shop until they've squeezed at least £200 out of you - a very hard selling company!

Well I actually spent 125€ but that was more because my wife chose the frames than any pressure from Specsavers - the optician was a very nice man who advised me that I need not even change the glasses I already had - but I did because I thought it was a good deal. I was also impressed with the eye check up which not only checks your vision but the health of your eyes as well. I did use them years ago in the UK and can't remember if there was a hard sell or not.
