Help!

Hi!

My wife and I have been in Spain for 2 years now, and my wife is a schoolteacher in Alicante, we recently (1 year ago) purchased our first house in Spain, we recently paid someone to complete all are forms with regards to tax for the year, he informed us that we where owed 3,000 euro´s we where informed to take the paperwork to our bank (Banco Pastor) and the refund would go into our bank in about 3 weeks, that was on June 4th!. I have contacted my bank and they have told me there is nothing they can do, and nobody we can contact, is this true?

We are not sure about what refund you are referring to. Could you confirm please, wether you are saying that you have presented your tax return in Spain for the year 2004 and that you were told you were going to have some funds back. If that is the case, you can always refer to the OFICINA DE HACIENDA based in Orihuela to ask or you can check the following web page: www.aeat.es cliking the link "oficina virtual" and then "devoluciones". You will be asked to introduce your N.I.E number and the amount that is supposed to be refunded and you will be able to see the stage of it.
