Residencia
As under EU law the Residencia is no longer required in Spain and as I am now able to spend longer in Spain I wish to be regarded as resident. Am I correct that signing on the Padron and registering to vote and doing so will qualify me as resident? If this is the case will this also exempt me from paying wealth tax and capital gains if I sell my property? I am still a tax payer in the UK.
I would appreciate any advice on this subject.
Thanks

Although you do not have to apply for the Residency to stay in Spain, should you wish to become resident for all purposes, you should get the fiscal residency and settle your taxes in Spain, not being exempted in any way for the payment of taxes on the incomes received.
