Please help - my mum has a timeshare apartment in Spain which was paid for about 22 years ago. She is now 86 and would like to transfer the deeds to her children. We have been told that we cannot do this and that the escatura's have been changed and that we would have to pay about £7,800 in taxes etc. to transfer it or if she died. Heritage, who own Marbesa, say that the apartment is valued at £14,927 per week (we have weeks 28 & 29) which we find hard to believe. They would like us to change to 'floating' ownership, which they say would only cost us £3,795 - but this was only if we arranged it while we were in Spain earlier this year. They couldn't give us a price if we decided to do it later. There are quite a few owners who have been told the same thing.
Many thanks - kind regards, Chris Teasdale |

We require to have a look of the timeshare deeds before we can provide you with a response.
