Property in Hondon - Is it Legal?
We have seen a property advertised in Hondon De Los Frailes. It is advertised with an estate agent under the SWAP section. We have asked the estate agent is it a legal property as it is on less than the required 10,000 sq m plot for Alicante. She informed us - 'YES IT IS, BECAUSE IT IS NOW 6 YRS OLD AND HAS THE REQUIRED PAPERWORK' What does this mean? Was it not legal, but after 6 yrs it is. If so, how does this work and can the Town Hall change this status in the future, because it didnt have property permission to begin with.
Lots of questions, but hope someone can give correct legal answer. It seems in Spain legality continually changes.

The term the Town Hall can sanction an urban infringement is of 4 years. After that period of time the construction does not become legal but the Town Hall can not fine it.
