  • Looking to move to Torrevieja and make new friends

Hi there, I was wondering if you could help me. I will be coming out to my Apartment in Torrevieja on 3rd December 2006. I would like to know if there is anywhere where I can go where I can meet new friends. I was in Torrevieja in April this year and I found it very difficult on my own. I did not know where to go, just had the occassional meal solo, then back to my apartment. I would like to learn Line-Dancing as I have just bought a pair of boots.

Is there anyone out there who can point me in the right direction.
    Muchas Gracias!

Welcome to the sunny Costa Blanca!!

I would suggst that you put another posting here giving more details of your location. Most people here live in Urbs (urbanizations) and they have their own clubs, pubs, meeting places etc.

If you are near La Florida/Los Altos the Emerald isle covers a lot of the things you have mentioned.

The local papers Costa Blanca news, Round Town News etc also have pages dedicated to all of the clubs and activities in the whole area.

you can view them on line.

I hope you find what you are looking for and enjoy your time here

        Hi Karen

There is a line dance lesson Saturday nights, at the Melody bar, I believe this is not too far from the Dial prix on the coast road, (someone else may be able to direct you better) it is run by a lovely couple Sue and John, I go to their class in Quesada but this will be too far for you I would think, I spoke to Sue tonight and she said you will be most welcome
        Enjoy

              New Friends

Hi Karen, Like you, I have purchased in the town centre, near Hotel Fontana and I also ''eat solo '' when I visit there on my own. Sometimes a week can be very long!! My next visit is 13th January, perhaps we could meet for a 'yarn'.

                Hi

I am a single bloke again and a frequent visitor to Torry, my apartment is at the top of Calle Zoa.
I always travel on my own and sometimes would like to meet similar people, for a drink, meal and a chat. I,m in my early 50's.

                          Hello all
I have an apartment not far from Dialprix on Avda.De Desiderio Rodriguez that I bought in the summer. Would love to get to know other people in the area to meet up with sometimes. Going 'solo' can be boring.
Can only get out for some weekends until the summer when I will be there for a few weeks so would be great to make contact with people and find out where's good to eat/dance/shop/see live music etc. Drop me a line and say hello.
Hope to talk to you soon
                          Wende

                            Hi All

I've been living here (alone with my cats and dogs) since early September and would love to broaden my circle of friends. Anyone fancy meeting up, just e-mail me on WendyinSpain@googlemail.com. By the way, I'm late 50s but have no problem meeting people who are younger.

I guess you have now arrived at your apartment in Torrevieja as you said you were coming on the third. I've just read in the paper that they do line dancing classes at las Arcos bar/restaurant which is not very far from Torrevieja town center. I can give you the details if you like. It might be a bit nearer than Quesada.
If it is any good, let me know and I might join you. Not sure if I will be any good.
Noticed on your profile that you are a property developer. That's what my partner does- lots of hard work and thinking involved.
I live near Torrevieja town center if you ever get stuck for someone to go for a coffee with.
