Since the residencia card has been scrapped, and the capital gains on property dropped to 18% for all property owners, i now wonder if the role of the annual wealth tax on none residents versus residents is fair.
If one no longer needs a residencia card, and as EU citizens we can live were we wish in the EU, how can Spain make a legal distinction between who are now resident or none resident.
If, as the EU mandate dictates, we are now all resident of EU, how can none resident EU property owners still pay wealth tax at a much lower threshold than residents.
