  • Train Station

Hi - Im over there in a couple of weeks and was wondering if I can get a Train from the Villamartin Area down to Benidorm? I have searched the internet and cant seem to find any info on this, only that there is a station in oriheula - is this correct? If so does anyone know where it is and have you used it?? thanks in advance for any info ......

The train station is in Orihuela town. there isnt any train from the orihuela costa.
options would be bus to orihuela and train from there. Or bus to Alicante and train form there.

      Train station

Get a free trip on the blanket trip! They go to Benidorm plus other areas, just have to sit through an hour watching whilst they show you the quilts, pillows and mattresses.

We catch the train from Catral to Alicante and then the brand new tram from Alicante to Benidorm, lovely coastal ride

It will take you hours by bus, train or tram from Villa Martin in fact you will probably have to get a taxi to La Zenia to get the bus. Easier by car 50mins. I estimate 4 hours each way!!

As its about 120km from La Zenia to Benidorm its a bit optimistic to do it in 50 mins!!!!! You would need to break the speed limit significantly to do it in this time even on the motorway.
More like 75 to 90 mins. depending on traffic. I do the journey frequently from Punt Prima.

There is a little Station at San Isadore (think thats the spelling) its just of the AP7 if you pass the breakers yard going toward Alicante and keep you eyes peeled you will see a sign with a little train on it. The station is tiny and there is loads of free parking the train goes to Alicante and of course you can catch a Benidorm train from there.

OOPS I'd better not do the trip when you are about then.

                    Simmy,
You can't be serious about doing La Zenia to Benidorm in 50 mins. Which route do you take, speed boat?

The speed limit on spanish motorways are 120 km/h. If its 120 km it will take you an hour.
According to Google earth it will take you 1hr 12 minutes from hotel la zenia to Playa de Levante in Benidorm.

We ALL know that we are not doing 120, more like 130 or 140. so 50 miutes isnt that far of.

Why not ask Chris to take you & bring you back. He took our friends (8 of them) & collected them a few days later (80€ each way as he had to make two return trips, a day out won't cost as much).

Here's his details .. he runs a 9 seater minibus.
