When you say appoint someone to collect the number for you do you mean a Solicitor could do that and would they require you to set up a power of attorney for this service which would obviously involve costs? We don't know anyone else in Spain who could do it for us.

Hi Gilly.

Yes you can appoint your solicitor to collect your numbers for you, and NO you do not need to set up a power of attorney for this. The last section on the application form needs to be completed with details of the person collecting on your behalf. However, if you appoint your solicitor to collect, he/she will obviously charge you for this. Why not just wait until you are next out in Spain and collect them yourself? They'll still be there! I applied for mine in July last year, and collected them when I was next out in Spetember. No problem.

We are going beginning of September but will not be out there until end of April/May 2006. Did they say there was a time limit on collecting?
