I have a Thompsons digital tv receiver/hard drive recorder which I use in the UK,
will this work in spain or will I need to purchase a Spanish receiver/recoder

many digital receivers from the UK will work in Spain with TDT......

but it may have a few exceptions:
ensure that the TV can scan Spanish channels frequency 69 - this requency is not used in the UK, but it is in most of Europe, so you will be missing out on a number of channels (antenne 3 etc) if you cannot scan this.

also, if it is a "Freeview" branded receiver then it may not work 100% - you MAY not be able to change the languages on certain channels - as the Freeview software usually only recognises the words "English, Welsh and Gaelic" and not the words "DOS, ENG, QAA, MUL, VO" that are used by Spanish TV companies as tags for alterante (ie english) audio sound tracks.

Apart from that it should work OK.
