A Colourful Explosion of Sight and Sound
The Capital Theatre in Rojales has been chosen to host the return visit of the Raquel Peña Dance Company’s gala on Sunday, May 23rd. With her acclaimed troupe of internationally acclaimed dancers the spectacular display of Spanish music and dance will be for many a once in a lifetime opportunity to indulge themselves in the soul of Spain.
The spontaneity of the flamenco dance form is regarded by many as the Andalusian spirit unleashed: Her troupe conjures up an audacious swirl of colourful dresses, the click of castanets, mesmerising rhythm and heel-staccato.
A welcome will be especially waiting for the television appearing Jay Markwick after a year’s recuperation following a knee injury.
Raquel says the curtain up time of 5.30pm has been chosen as the perfect hors d’oeuvres for those planning a post show meal in the delightful town. It will also please those who prefer not to drive in the dark.
The charity selected to receive a generous donation from the stunning evening’s entertainment is to be the Alzheimer’s Association of Torrevieja.
