View Full Version : Car Parking by Residents/Renters Outside of Private Garages

We have underground car park spaces provided under our urbanisation for the use of owners and people renting from owners. However because the builder decided to concrete all areas between the properties instead of landscaping the area with gardens, residents and people renting properties are driving onto the urbanisation and parking their cars outside the entrance doors to each block of apartments. We are afraid that the concreting will sink and be damaged for which the residents would be liable to pay for repairs as this concreting was not made strong enough to take the weight of the vehicles.

If we want to stop this happening does this have to be voted on by the committee and can we stop them parking on the urbanisation legally? There is adequate side roads as well as the underground garage for them to park their vehicles on.

In response to your queries, we inform you that all agreements on the communal areas should be dealt with and voted at the Annual General Meeting.

You should propose to the Committee the ban to park in the areas you have mentioned provided that there are other spaces available to that end. The proposal should be then voted and agreed by all owners.

We will be pleased to attend you at our offices in Torrevieja, should you need further information.
