Community accounts - Auditing?

Our Community so far does not appear to have had its accounts audited and the paperwork does not seem to be completely in order. Is it a legal requirement for the accounts to be audited and who is responsible for getting this done.
Also who can audit accounts - should it be an independent body or individual?

It is not compulsory for a community to have its accounts audited and the law does not prescribe any kind of accountancy. Nevertheless, should all members of the community unanimously decide that the accounts have to be audited, it is possible to have this done.

On the other hand, specially in big communities there is a post of "auditor", whose job is to revise the accounts arranged by the administrator.
