  • WHO IS LEGALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR WATER DAMAGE TO MY APARTMENT?

I live on the ground floor of a 3 storey apartment building and water has been coming through my kitchen ceiling from the apartment direcly above me and has caused damage. There is no one in the aparment and there is no key holder. it has been neccessary to turn off the water supply to the apartment above to stop further damage. I have contacted the "community" but have not received a reply. What action should I take now in this situation?
    Thank you.

In this case, it would be a good idea to report the situation to the company which supplies the water to the area (either Aquagest, Agamed or the like). They will be able to turn the supply to the property off.
On the other hand, you can denounce the situation at the Courts against the owner of the property, applying at the same time for an authorization to go in the property and repair the damages.

We will be pleased to assits you at our offices in Torrevieja.
