Fencing in a Pool

There appears to be rules concerning the erection of security boundary fences on urbanisations which the community of owners need to take into account when agreeing to what is required.

What are the Spanish laws regarding the installation of fencing around a swimming pool on an urbanisation, as the community of owners need to know what their legal responsibilities are? Are there minimim requirements under the Health & Safety Act?

In response to your e-mail, please be advised that there is no general law in respect to the erection of boundary fences. Since it is the town planning of each area which regulates such things.

Having to apply for the corresponding licence to the Town Hall before the erection of the fences and taking into account the safety requirements demanded by the Town Hall.
