:roll: My husband and I are in our late 50s, we have lived here over 4 years, I pay social security. Can you explain what happens when one of us passes away with regard to the tax. We own our own apartment, no mortgage. Also we have no children and wondered if we could sort something out prior to our death to avoid heavy taxes as all our assets will go to our two nephews in the UK. Thankyou

It is advisable to sign a Will in Spain but in your situation, regardless of you are resident or non-resident, there is no way to avoid paying the inheritance tax only adjust the deduction that could be applicable because of your assets.
