We have just had an email from our agents that someone has paid a deposit on our property. As this is the first time we will have sold a property in Spain can you answer these few questions.

Should we let our solicitors know now or wait until the agents solicitor contacts us first or do they automatically contact our solicitor also.

On average how long does the process take and do we have to be present at the time of completion or can our solicitor deal with it for us.

What fees do we have to pay.

If there are any other things that we should know about the process that would be helpful we would be grateful if you would inform us.

Many Thanks

In response to your e-mail, please kindly note that we are unaware of the instructions you have received from the agents with regards to the sale price, way of payment and period. Therefore I advice you to contact your solicitor in order for him to determine with the agents the terms of the contract.
On the other hand, regaring the fees you will have to pay, I can advice you that every solicitor charges in accordance to the services they provide.

Should you have any further question do not hesitate to contact us.
