hi I have neen offered a long term rental of a bungalow with 2 rooms in la mata, is 360e monthly a reasonable rent? Do you normally pay the full term of rental up front and would you say that it is easy to get around while looking for work from there, we are fed up with the freezin weather here in scotland and want to change our lives for the better but as we are a mother and daughter is it safe and are there other brits about. please help any info grateful.

La Mata is pretty quiet this time of the year, the actual village is very Spanish, there is an excellent bus service into Torrevieja every 15 - 20 mins if you haven't got a car. You will find more Bits up the hill Los Lomas/Torreblanca which is also known as La Mata so it depends on where you are actually going to live as to how lively the area is.

The rent sounds OK and would normally be paid Monthly.

Hi Rosalin, La Mata is a very pleasent area. Proximity to services depend on the exact location. Rental sounds o.k. You must be prepared to pay at least six months up front - Think of it from the landlord's point of view - you have no work, no income, so how are you going to pay a monthly rent?
