I bought an appartment for 96,000 euros and sold it for 100,000 euros the solicitor retained 3% to pay my capitail gains tax on the profit made which comes to 720 euros calculated at 18%.
I have asked the solictor for the rest of the money retained he told me that there will be no money left and that 3% is always retained.
Is this correct?
