  • Is there a simple way to find work here?

Hi, I am new to the area, just having moved here 6 weeks ago, I have completed the complicated part, ie getting my daughter into school here, oh by the way, does anyone know anything about the Snra Rosario school, it would be nice to know about their reputation etc, but I digress, I now need to find work. I have pored over the pages of the local papers, RTN, The Leader etc, but jobs look very thin on the ground. Is it a case of word of mouth around here?If so could anyone mouth something in my direction. Although In England I worked in the casino business for most of my life, I am eager to try anything.

    Hi

My son went to rosario for about 3 months when we first came over and I think they are a good school. Plenty of my friends children go there and they are happy with the school. How old is your child??My son is now 11 and he struggled somewhat with the lessons being just in Spanish, so he now goes to the biligual school at Mar Azul. This is fee paying though but its 60%-40% english and spanish and he loves it!
On the job front. It is word of mouth here...or try the expat websites eg
    www.spainexpat.com
they have the recruitment agencies on there.

    hope this helps.

Thanks Sarah for getting back to me! My daughter will be 10 next month, she has only been at Rosario a week and has managed to fall out with one of the english girls already! , I will have a good look at the website you gave me. While i'm in the question mode, my daughter is obsessed with Harry Potter and desperately wants to see the next film when it comes out in November. Is there anywhere near by that would be showing it in English, or will we have to wait until it comes out on DVD?

There is an english cinema in Pilar and it has a website that tells you what the coming attractions are.

          The website address is www.cinemapilar.com.

Hi weeeball. Our daughter, 10 last month is also obsessed with HP, and will certainly be siezing the 1st chance to see the new film. Maybe they'd like to meet up, & we'd certainly be happy to take them to any showing.
