Hi all. We are planning to go to Las Mananitas Community in La Zenia next May. We would be gratefull for any info on the area. How far from the beach, car hire from Alicante airport, pubs ,resturants,shops etc. Many thanks.

stayed in the nearby area of cabo roig in july and loved it!la zenia is great as there is a great choice of local supermarkets.consum and mercadona are the best but if you go up a bit further ther is a lidl.not many other shops but i would recomend you to take a bus ride to torrevieja which only costs 1euro.there is a lovely beach there and plenty of bars and resteraunts. -
For car hire go to carjet web site. La Zenia has 2 beaches 5 mins walk from the roundabout also 2 more at Cabo Roi. There are a few restaurants and pubs with live music. At the next roundabout in the torrevieja direction (5 mins by car ) you have got Playa Flamenca Beach commercial center with approx 25 pubs and restaurants. In the other direction you have Cabo Roi Strip with approx same numbers also about 5 mins. away
