It depends on your age, but there are a lot of clubs around U3a, social, bingo, bridge, and semi education ones like learning Spanish, dancing etc. Looking on the forums or in the free local papers should give you names and address of them, many even have web sites.
Try the Indoor heated pool in the Thalassia Hotel , San Pedro Del Pinatar.Used it when i stayed there but is open to public too. Lovely way to pass a few hrs on those rare cold days.
get yourself and half priced season ticket for our local football club, fc torrevieja.
You should read what Benimar col is asking people to
quote on about your thread on the special interest forum.
Am I getting the feeling these people are trying to start trouble with good decent local community groups like the Torre Army. Ive read a few others of this user and it disgusts me.
With regards for something to do, not much in winter, a bracing walk on the prom, swimming at Pillar sports centre. You don´t say how old you are beachlife. There is a pensioners club at the back of Supercor in Playa Flamenca that´s supposed to be very good.

You could sit with a pile of 20 pound notes and watch them shrink against the Euro every day - or get some pictures of Gordon Brown and burn them slowly to keep you warm - or go to Polaris World and ask them how they are doing at the moment - or pop down to the OC town hall and watch the mayor and his mates get arrested and dragged away by the Guardia - go window shopping and see if there is anything that you can afford now..........
