foster home for my cat

hi folks in a bit of a stickie one here, am looking for a foster home for my cat "Harry Wrinkles" he is awaiting return to the uk but has the quarentine pirod of eight months before we can take him back so a foster home needed it would have to be no other pets and lots of space, of course i would pay for his food and the like
any ideas

Don't know if anyone will do it (perhaps though) because I have head people say that and then pretty much lose touch with the caregiver and never claim the pet again..leaving the person stuck with the animal.

I don't quite understand the eight months quarantine. What country is "home"? For the UK, get a Pet Passport. You shouldn't then have to wait more than 7 months from the rabies vaccination (blood test done 3 weeks later) and NO QUARANTINE is required. If you're going the quarantine route, then why not take the animal to a UK quarantine centre?

Or is "home" some other country with different regulations?
