  • Something to do in Torrevieja?

    Hello!

I'm going to Torrevieja next week (14 aug) and I'm gonna stay there for two weeks. I would like to do some groupactivities (age around 30) in those weeks, for example a spanish language course, grouptrips, salsa/flamenco dancing. Is there anyone with good tips or (new/other) ideas for me?

Well so far 95 people have viewed and no one has come up with anything! Or were all looking for something to?

OK - it is doubtful that you will find any classes (and here you have to understand Spanish culture) now is not learning time it is holiday/playing time so everyone is on the beach - OK you may not want that - so I suggest you obtain copies of the 3 local papers when you get here (they are free unless you invest 1.60 in a Costa Blanca News) and check out the ads or research the internet sites try here:

    have fun.

          Information on Torrevieja

Whilst this is a property web site it has lots of useful information about things to do generally in Torrevieja.

Torrevieja, Costa Blanca, Spain - Torrevieja Tourist Information

The Tourist informaiton is just off the promenade up the street from teh Casino and Waterfall and they are a very good source of information about what will be happening inthe area while you are there.

The Tourist information site is .....Tourist Information for Torrevieja

Torrevieja is famous in Spain for it's many festivals - the biggest festival being the Habaneras festival in August. For forty years, every August, Torrevieja has held its traditional Competition of Habaneras and Polyphony, which now has an international character, since it is one of the greatest cultural celebrations in Europe. Voices from all over the world come together in Torrevieja, and the Habanera sings its way out of the competition precincts, and becomes the folklore of the locals. For a whole week, Torrevieja sways to the rhythm of the Habanera, with its tropical flavour from Cuba. Not sure of dates but it is on in August,

          Hope this is of use.....
