  • Global Warming or Climate Change?

At the latest bean feast for the not so good, and the not nearly so great as they think they are, in Copenhagen they are learning how they can all make a few more quid out of ‘Global Warming’.

This load of nonsense has been foisted on an unsuspecting public by politicians with their own agendas. The scientific world is split over whether global warming is, in fact, happening at all. Why do you think we hear nothing of David Bellamy any more? It’s because he dared to speak out against Gordon the Moron’s stand on climate change. You notice the subtle shift there to climate change, that is because Politicians, who would know all the scientific nuances of the subject wouldn’t they??? no longer refer to ‘Global Warming’, but to ‘Climate Change’ instead, I wonder why?

The world is no doubt changing, but it’s a natural progression, the world has warmed up and cooled down in the past so it’s logical to assume it will happen again. We should not be so concerned with the tropical weather which is no doubt on its way in the next hundred years or so, but with the Ice Age that must surely follow it.

Politicians see this non-event as an ideal opportunity to increase taxation, as well as the opportunity for some nice fat brown envelopes from manufacturers of so-called ‘Green Products’, most of which add nothing to the ecology of the planet.

Our self-serving, so called ‘Leaders’ know no more about the future than the rest of us and to think that anything we do or do not do will change the future of the Planet, that was here long before the human race emerged from the primeval slime, and will no doubt be here long after we have departed, is merely pandering to mankind’s sense of it’s own importance.

It’s a bit like telling us we have eternal life!!!

I quite agree with everything you say. Unfortunately these opinions have been doomed to extinction ever since "ecology" became a mainstream school subject 30 or so years ago.
The original teachers(brainwashers) probably saw it as a new easy subject where they could make their own definitions. It seemed relatively benigh to most people and on a parr with the
    "keep Britain tidy" advertisements.
However the new generation of teachers/scientists etc. are those original students and most are zealots about their subject without countenancing any real doubts about human responsibility for "global warming" or "climate change" depending on the latest forecast.
Even the original youngsters who were left cold by the subject have largely unconciously accepted its veracity.
So the population of doubters like myself come from the generation taught before this subject evolved.
Our assumptions were based on the Christian or Humanist values we were taught.
These values have become unfashionable but left a spiitual gap or need in people, which has partly been filled by the Greenpeace dogma along with football team and celebrity worship.

I agree - it is all a ploy to make us so scared that we meekly accept being bled dry because it will 'Save the Planet' - are we the 'silent' majority or minority? Will anyone bother to find out - unlikely, when to get a grant to do research, scientists have to put a 'green' slant on it or they will never get funding. I'm all for cutting pollution and recycling waste because that's just common sense, but I really, truly don't think that humans are responsible for climate change - it has been occurring for millions of years and will carry on that way, and us trying to change it might in itself have unforeseen consequenses... who knows?

What we should all be concerned about is finding alternative sources of energy, because isn't oil going to run out in about 40 years? Or is that a load of rubbish as well?

Whilst sitting here looking out at 3 feet of snow and listening to that pr*t Ken Livingstone bleating on and on about the end of the world is nigh 'cos the global warming is coming to get us, I remembered the .....Millenium Bug!

Yes we were all going to die on the 1st January 2000 and all the 'experts' told us we had to stop flying, leave our cars at home, stock up on essentials as the world distribution system would collapse, billions of pounds, dollars, euros and rupees was spent on the remedy given to us by the learned scientists of the world.

        What happened....NOTHING AT ALL!!

This must be a lesson to us all never, never trust politicians when the wholeheartedly buy into a load of old claptrap dished out by people earning a few bob out of it.

Gormless Brown is having a great old time grandstanding in Copenhagen and dishing out our money to the likes of Mugabe and his mates in the name of Climate Change.

If 'Gormless Gordon' is so convinced that his crystal balls are correct in forseeing the future how come he got it so wrong between 1999 & 2002 when he sold off more than 60% of the UK's gold reserves @ US$ 275 an ounce, a twenty year gold price LOW, and the price is now approaching US$1200 an ounce.............???
